Terex Fuchs MHL350 Scrap, Waste and Recycling Material Handler
Scrap Handling Application
Rugged…Dependable…Efficient. The Terex® Fuchs MHL350 material handler is the uncompromising stalwart of the scrap industry. Its maximum 78,264-lb (35,500-kg) operating weight and 15.8-ft (4.8-m) undercarriage width between stabilizers delivers rock-solid stability, unwavering performance and impressive lift capacities throughout its entire operating range. Material is handled fewer times with its 52.5-ft (16-m) boom/stick configuration, so operators can reach far from the handler base and material can be stacked higher.
Purpose-built to withstand the extreme conditions of the scrap yard, this handler boasts rigid hydraulic pipes on the stick, boom and undercarriage for superior protection. Machine longevity is further advanced through a double-row slewing ring design that better withstands operating forces, steel plates shrouding the end of the stick and inverted cylinder mounting to safeguard against damage during loading and unloading.
Stingy on fuel but generous on power, this material handler’s 214-hp (160-kW) engine runs clean and efficient. Its hydraulically driven engine cooling system automatically adjusts fan speed to ambient temperatures to maintain optimal operating temperatures. Responsiveness, precision and performance are further maximized through the machine’s high-capacity main hydraulic pump and two-circuit hydraulic system.
From a 1.0-yd3 (0.76-m3) grapple to 2.6-yd3 (2.0-m3) clamshell to magnetic plate, the MHL350 handler can be equipped with different attachments to meet site-specific needs. Control of the on-board generator is incorporated into the handler’s high resolution color display for efficient operation. An ergonomic multifunction button offers effortless fingertip navigation through display screens.
To rise above it all, the MHL350 handler’s hydraulically height-adjustable cab offers a maximum eye-level elevation of 18.4-ft (5.6-m). Its cushioned cab elevation system increases operator comfort by absorbing shocks and jolts.
Waste & Recycling Handling Application
Longer reach…More power…Fewer workers. Today’s Terex® Fuchs MHL350 material handler is purpose-built for high volume waste and recycling operations who cannot sacrifice power and performance. The machine’s long, 52.5-ft (16-m) reach enables operators to quickly sort and place material over a wide area, eliminating the handwork and extra workers to significantly boost efficiencies and lower costs.
Its high-performance, two-circuit hydraulic system delivers fast and precise slewing speeds, even under full load. A clean-running, 214-hp (160-kW) turbocharged diesel engine provides more power than previous designs, while being penny-pinching when it comes to fuel. Keeping it all cool when the heat is on, its large cooling system boasts vented panels that increase airflow.
The MHL350 handler comes with an assortment of attachment options – from clamshell grabs to grapples – to match the material being processed. When material starts to stack up, the machine’s 18.4-ft (5.6-m) maximum eye-level delivered by the hydraulically elevating cab allows operators to continue to efficiently sort and load/unload material. With its 12.4 mph (20 km/hr) travel speed, the handler quickly moves from location to location, eliminating the need of multiple machines.
Durable is this handler’s middle name. Its ironclad design includes rigid hydraulic piping at critical points, steel plate shielding at the end of the stick, inverted hydraulic cylinder mounting and a double-row slewing ring. Maintaining the MHL350 machine is a snap thanks to its centrally located service platform, easily accessed via a stow-away ladder, and additional Can Bus connections for diagnostics. Machine filters, central lubrication system, fuel prefilter and coolers are all conveniently located and accessed for quick servicing.
